What do you do at Symbiont Service?
I survey pools to look for those that we can effectively heat with #geothermal. Part of my duties include looking for opportunities with property managers, condo board representatives, managers of hotels and resorts among others.
What are some of the benefits of #geothermal energy?
Geothermal energy is high efficiency heating. The units operate at high effectiveness and employ “green” aspects. Some people don’t fully understand the benefits of “going green” with heating at their facilities and part of what I do is provide education.
Major benefits of #geothermal energy is that we don’t have to burn fossil fuels to heat pools. Also, with geothermal a facility is able to reduce its carbon footprint (and that is something that many consumers are concerned about).
Geothermal heaters perform as well as gas, and perform at a higher efficiency.
From a price standpoint where does #geothermal rank?
Many facilities will see a return on their investment in three to five years.
Why do you, personally, believe in #geothermal?
I like that #Geothermal taps into natural resources. Our systems give us a way to be environmentally-friendly and they are an efficient and effective way to heat and pools and buildings.
I welcomed the opportunity to work at Symbiont Service because it’s a family-owned business and it’s a family environment; everyone I work with is friendly and it’s just a great place to work.
Is there anything you learned about #geothermal that you didn’t previously know?
Yes, I learned that with #geothermal we tap into the lake or groundwater sources and “borrow” heat from that source. It’s then used to heat/cool a pool or a home before it’s returned to the source without causing any harm to our environment.

When you’re not working what do you do for fun?
I spend time with my family, camp, hike, fish and hunt. I am also a BSA Scout leader and enjoy working with and teaching the Scouts.
