How Commercial Water Parks Can Save Money

By: Robbi Hess | Category: GeoThermal Energy

What is one of the biggest expenses faced by the owners and operators of commercial water parks, save money at waterparkaquatic parks and public swimming pools? If you said, “heating the water” you’d be right. How commercial water parks can save money is one of the items our geothermal professionals from Symbiont Service Corp. talks with commercial operators about.

When a geothermal pool heating system is installed, you’re using the heat that is naturally occuring beneath the earth’s surface to warm the pool water. A geothermal swimming pool heating system offers a way to heat the pool water and provides effective and efficient temperature control and uses less energy. Using less energy translates to operating cost savings. Look at what you currently spend on the heating of the water of the commercial pool or aqua park you operate then give us a call and let’s see if we can save money on your annual operating costs for heating the water.

How Commercial Water Parks Can Save Money

Geothermal heating systems don’t generate heat, they use naturally occurring heat in a transfer system to heat the water that passes through the pipes. The way a geothermal system works is that the heaters pump warmth that occurs in the ground from one location to be heated then transferred back to the swimming pool. Transferring heat requires less cost and energy than heating water.

If your commercial operation is looking to be more environmentally friendly, a geothermal system helps with that as well. Add to that the lower operating costs and you’ll save on your operation’s bottom line and in today’s era of financial and evironmental responsibility those are wins all day long.

When a geothermal swimming pool or water park system is installed it will draw energy from a heat source such as a lake, well or canal. Once that’s been “tapped” heat is delivered to the swimming pool through a pump system built on a refrigerant compression cycle. The piping is easy to install and the system is insulated. You and your guests and patrons will not notice its operation as it’s quiet and seamless.
