The Commonwealth Institute Names Symbiont Service & President Sandy King Top Women-Led Businesses in Florida Annual
award highlights women business leaders who are making a significant impact on the state’s economy
The Commonwealth Institute (TCI), together with its research partner Kaufman Rossin, announced Symbiont Service and President Sandy King part of the 16th annual Top Women-Led Businesses in Florida list, recognizing the honorees during a virtual event. These awards honored 75 for-profit and non-profit as well as 5 startup organizations.
“On behalf of TCI, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to all of our Top Women honorees and special recognition for our Top 5 awardees: Lisa Bauer, Starboard Cruise Services; Christine Cauffield, LSF Health Systems; Christine Duffy, Carnival Cruise Line; Leah Carpenter, Memorial Hospital West; and Penny Shaffer, Florida Blue,” said TCI Florida Chapter Executive Director Jacqui Kiviat. “This is an exciting time at TCI, as we build increased programming and support for more women in business leadership roles and their businesses throughout Florida.”
Sandy King Names Top Women-Led Business Owner In Florida
This is the 16th year that TCI – a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing women in leadership positions – created the list through a
research nomination process and reviewed both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. The full list will be published in a research report written by Kaufman Rossin, to be published this month on kaufmanrossin.com.
“2020 was a difficult year for most businesses, so it is an honor to rank 31st of the top 75 Women-Led Businesses in Florida as the rankings are based on 2020 financials,” Sandy said. “I’m grateful to be a part of so many successful women. We are back to a positive growth mode in 2021 with my amazingly focused Symbiont Work-Family!”
