Today we’re at Heritage Pines again with Herb Hurly, the general manager, and Patrick Morse, the energy consultant who put together the proposal and quote for their project. They’ll save $33,000 per year with their new system (compared to using gas), with a 3.9-year return on investment. Those numbers are from the old gas prices; in January, natural gas was $2.05 per metric million, and now it’s $4.90 per metric million, meaning they’re saving even more.
The folk at Heritage Pines are very happy with their system, and it’s been running well. They’re currently cooling their pool to 84 degrees and heating their spa to 102 degrees. Besides saving money, Heritage Pines is no longer burning fossil fuels. So today, we’re presenting Herb with a plaque that recognizes that Heritage Pines is doing their part to go green and that we’re proud to partner with them (view it at 1:35 in the video above).
It was a pleasure to meet Herb and work with their well-run board to get the project finished. Installing the heating and cooling system for Heritage Pines was a great opportunity for Symbiont Service.
