City of Largo Southwest Recreation Complex Pool, Largo, FL
Project: GeoThermal Pool Heating and Cooling
Symbiont Service Corp’s GeoThermal units have been providing Southwest Recreation Complex’s Olympic-sized swimming pool with precise temperatures at affordable energy costs since 2001.
The facility hosts several aquatic events throughout the year and is the home training facility for the West Florida Lightning Aquatics Swimming, Masters and Diving programs and the Suncoast WaterWorks Synchronized Swimming Team. These aquatic activities require a consistent water temperature in all seasons, and that’s where our GeoThermal system shines. The ability to efficiently heat the Southwest Pool in the winter and cool it in the summer keeps the athletes cruising comfortably through 82°F water year-round.
When Southwest Recreation underwent a recent renovation, the City of Largo seized the opportunity to upgrade their trusty, original GeoThermal units. The new generation of SYMBIONT PH215 units we installed in July 2025 are ready to serve the Recreation Complex and its visitors for many years to come.
We’d like to congratulate the City of Largo on a successful remodel of their Southwest Pool and thank them for over two decades of partnership with Symbiont Service! We look forward to many more years as their go-to GeoThermal provider.
