Milander Aquatic Center, Hialeah, FL
Project: GeoThermal Pool Heating and Cooling
Symbiont Service Corp is proud to partner with the City of Hialeah on a major energy-efficient upgrade at the Milander Aquatic Center. The facility’s 555,000-gallon competition pool now features a new GeoThermal pool heating system designed to deliver exceptional performance and substantial long-term savings.
With a surface area of over 12,700 square feet, maintaining the pool’s ideal temperature of 83°F requires serious power: about 40.5 million BTUs per day. To meet that demand, Symbiont installed eight PH215 GeoThermal pool heaters, providing more than 43.4 million BTUs per day of heating capacity.
The results? Lower costs, cleaner energy, and impressive long-term savings. By switching from their old gas heaters to GeoThermal technology, Milander Aquatic Center is projected to save approximately $54,980 every year, which is more than one million dollars over the next 18 years.
In addition, with the ability to cool the pool during South Florida’s hottest months, this system ensures year-round comfort for swimmers, athletes, and visitors alike. Plus, with a 15–20 year serviceable life, these units will continue performing efficiently for many seasons to come.
Congratulations to the City of Hialeah and the Milander Aquatic Center team on becoming a Symbiont Service Corp GeoThermal partner. We are proud to provide reliable, energy-smart comfort that benefits both swimmers and budgets.
