What’s Included in a Free Estimate for a GeoThermal Pool Heating System?

When you contact us about installing a GeoThermal pool heating system, we first provide you with a free detailed estimate.

Part of the estimate includes a no-cost survey of the property. During the survey, we assess your pool heating needs and current equipment.

The information we gather will help us give you an accurate estimate of the project’s cost and scope.

Here’s what a GeoThermal pool heating property survey includes:

1. Assessment of Pool Heating Needs

We take into consideration all aspects of the pool (shading, wind, water features, pool return location, surface area, etc.) to determine the number of BTU’s required to heat the pool to your desired temperature. We then input this information into our proprietary software, developed using our over 35 years of experience, to determine the number of heaters required.

2. Evaluation of Current Heating System

We then investigate your current pool heating equipment to see how we can adapt it to our GeoThermal heaters.  Or, if you do not heat your pool, we look at the scope of work to be able to install a Geothermal system. For example, we consider the following factors:

  • The existing pool filtration pump – is it large enough to supply water to our heaters?
  • The heater by-pass – is it sufficiently sized for the number of heaters required?
  • Electrical – do we need to install new electrical service, and if so, from where?
  • Location of the heaters – they should be close to the existing pool equipment and positioned for easy serviceability.

3. Evaluate Pool Filtration System.

We also inspect your entire pool filtration system and make any recommendations on upgrading or bringing the system up to code.

4. Proposal Creation and Presentation

Once the survey is complete, we prepare a proposal and present it via a Zoom or in-person meeting. During the meeting, we demonstrate how our GeoThermal systems operate and discuss the process of installing GeoThermal heaters on your pool.
