Ft. Lauderdale Aquatic Complex - Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Project: GeoThermal Pool Heating and Cooling
The Fort Lauderdale Aquatics Center, located next to the Swimming Pool Hall of Fame, has been a valued Symbiont Service GeoThermal partner since 2006. The facility features three pools: a 755,000-gallon Training Pool, a 573,180-gallon Competition Pool and a 465,630-gallon Dive Well. All three pools are heated to a precise temperature year-round using the Symbiont™ GeoThermal Pool Heating System, which extracts heat from a deep aquifer well installed on the property for this purpose. The first GeoThermal system was installed on the Training Pool in April 2006, followed by the Competition and Dive Well heating systems which were installed in January 2008.
In 2023, the Aquatic Center rebuilt its three pools. As part of the renovation, we replaced our original 2006 GeoThermal heaters with upgraded units.
Thank you to the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation for partnering with Symbiont Service! We value our relationship and look forward to serving you for many years to come.
