The New Tampa branch of the YMCA – Tampa Metropolitan Area, which is located at 16221 Compton Drive, Tampa, features a 510,000 gallon swimming pool.
The pool is heated and cooled to 82°F year-round by the Symbiont™ Geo-Thermal Pool Heating System, which extracts heat from a deep aquifer well in-stalled on the property for this purpose.
Symbiont Service Corp engineering department projects operational savings in excess of $50,000.00 annually over conventional gas heaters with the 20-year serviceable life expectancy of the Symbiont™ system. This also means no adverse affect on the environment.
