A Few Words About Reverse Return Units

By: Vyral Marketing | Category: Blog, GeoThermal Energy, Heat Pumps |

Reverse return units can be a bit complex, so we wanted to clear things up a little bit for you.

How Can We Help You? Contact Us Today

Today we’re going to talk a little bit about reverse return units. They have a much more restrictive coil in them and you’ll only get about 45 gallons per minute out of each unit. However, with new coils, things are less restrictive, and it allows more water to come through.

There are four different modes for their main control units: heat, cool, auto, and off. There is also a safety switch within each unit. If the filters get too dirty or the pump turns off, you will see the word “flow” on the screen and you’ll know that it’s a pool water issue. The code sheet on the unit will be able to inform you of any pressing issues.

“

The time of year plays a big role in knowing
the kind of pressure problem you have.

”

If any high-pressure or low-pressure warnings have gone off and you see either “HP 5” or “LP 5” on the unit, this means it has shut itself off and it will stay locked out until you turn the breaker off and reset the unit. The time of year plays a big role in knowing what the problem is too.

If you have any questions about reverse return units or anything else relating to geothermal pool heating, don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
