How Warm Is Warm Enough For The Pool Water?
Did you know that if a guest comes to your hotel, rents in your condominium or apartment complex they may do so because of access to a swimming pool. If that’s the case, how warm is the water? Do guests go home from vacation and complain, “the water was too cold — we couldn’t even swim!” You certainly don’t want that to be the case, right?
Here are some ways to ensure the pool water is warm, comfortable and swimmable
- Check the water temperature. This may seem obvious, but if you aren’t personally swimming — or if your pool maintenance crew isn’t dipping into the pool, they may not know whether the water is warm.
- Check the pool heater to ensure it’s operating properly and that the water is at the temperature you’d set it.
- Consider investing in a geothermal heating unit for your swimming pool. Will you pay more up front for this type of heating but once installed it is a constant source of heat, is environmentally-friendly and will ensure your guests will be treated to warm water when they vacation (or live) with you!
With the continuation of credits for the installation of geothermal heating and cooling units, these systems may be more affordable than you’d imagined.
